 FAQ

Who should consider supervision with us?

Clinicians and social workers who have been or plan to be counseling 2SLGBTQIA+ clients and who want to enhance the affirmative care they are providing to to their clients. Our services are for clinicians who already have a foundational knowledge around 2SLGBTQIA+ persons.

Do you offer an introductory session?

We are happy to provide a free, 15-minute introductory meeting to discuss fit.

How often should I have clinical supervision?

We believe clinicians should access as much supervision as possible to ensure they are providing the best for their clients. Weekly or every other week is standard.

Why do I need to commit to a minimum of four supervision sessions?

We recommend a minimum of 4 sessions so that there is an opportunity to meet, create goals, develop a learning plan, implement the plan and receive feedback. We want clinicians to get meaningful feedback, and this takes time to develop a clinical alliance.

What is included in the supervision process?

Individual/group meetings, goal setting, review of process notes/recordings, feedback, and consultation.

Is there a cancellation fee?

We require 24 hours notice for cancellations or the full fee for a session will be charged. Please see our policies for more details.

Can these sessions be used towards supervision requirements?

Yes. You will be provided with proof of payment. Many secondary insurance companies cover the services of MSW clinicians. OHIP presently does not.

Are you available for individual psychotherapy?

Our availability changes based on caseload and other factors. Please contact us to discuss.

Do you have a discount for groups, or booking multiple sessions at once?

At present there is a discounted fee for group supervision, which is between 2-6 clinicians discussing cases during a one-hour session.

I have an idea about a training/workshop that I would like to discuss.

We would be happy to consider your ideas. Please get in touch with us via the email address below.
